GRAND RAPIDS — The Itasca Community College volleyball team dropped a pair of matches in recent action.
The Vikings played a perennially tough Central Lakes Community College team from Brainerd and lost 3-0. 25-10, 25-18, 25-6.
Brianna Sutherland had four kills, 11 digs and one block for Itasca while Karley Hansen recorded three kills and four digs. Libby Korpi finished with nine set assists and two digs while Alyssa McDermott had 11 digs. Allison Rasley finished with two kills and five digs while Natalie Bakkedahl had two blocked shots.
Nicole Kortan led a potent Central Lakes front row with seven kills while Maggi Fellerman and Sydney Berg both recorded six. Kyle Porter finished with 10 set assists while Morgan Balder had nine and Sarah Bennett added seven. Balder had six service aces, and Hailey Tihlarik recorded 15 digs.

Dakota County Technical downed Itasca in three straight games on Saturday, Sept. 7.
The Vikings lost the games by the scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-15.
Brianna Sutherland was all over the floor for ICC in the loss as she recorded 12 kills and 14 digs. Karley Hansen finished with one kill and eight digs while Libby Korpi had 17 set assists and four digs. Alyssa McDermott recorded one kill and three digs while Allison Rasley had two kills ad eight digs. Natalie Bakkedahl finished with two kills and one block.
