PROCTOR — The Itasca Community College (ICC) football team remained undefeated with a 39-6 victory over Fond du Lac Community College Saturday in a game played at Proctor.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Vikings got started in the second quarter as they put up 13 points to lead 13-0 at the half.

ICC added another touchdown in the third quarter to take a 20-0 advantage into the fourth quarter. The Vikings then added 19 points in the fourth quarter for the big win.

ICC picked up 480 yards of total offense in the game with 241 coming on the ground and 239 through the air. Meanwhile, the Viking defense limited Fond du Lac to just 195 total yards.

Javon McInnis completed 17 out of 28 passes for 216 yards and three touchdowns for Itasca. Meanwhile, Joshua Booker had a huge game on the ground for ICC as he picked up 161 yards on 14 carries and scored two touchdowns.

Taylen Gavin had 64 yards rushing while Tyree Studivant had 36 for the Vikings.

Antwan Downs had four catches for 88 yards and two touchdowns for ICC while D”Angelo Braxton had a receiving touchdown.

Danny Jackson was 13-for-39 for 111 yards and two interceptions for Fond du Lac while Mason Klinger was 4 for 15 for 33 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions.

Justice Bice had a touchdown catch for Fond du Lac.

Defensively for ICC, Cameron Strapp had six solo tackles and a sack while Ranadree Bradley and Chamar Cobb both had two sacks.

ICC is now 4-0 for the season and 1-0 in East Division play.

The Vikings are next in action on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 1:30 p.m. against Mesabi Range.
