GRAND RAPIDS — Both the Itasca Community College men’s and women’s basketball teams lost a pair of games during the past weekend.

Following are results of the games, which were played on the road:

Men

Ridgewater 88

Itasca 75

Ridgewater defeated ICC on Friday by the score of 88-75.

Ridgewater led by just two points at 41-39 at the half. However, it outscored the Vikings by 11 points in the second half to take the victory.

It was the first loss of the season for ICC which falls to 4-1.

Sam Olson hit six 3-pointers and led Ridgewater with 26 points. Travis Henderson scored 22 while Travis Visser added 15.

A.J. Pinkney drained three 3-pointers and led Itasca with 30 points. Ziggy Shider scored 14, and Daniele Ricard, Deidrich Kemp and Nick Grant all added eight.

Itasca 63

Minnesota West tipped the Vikings 72-63 in play Saturday.

The game was tied at 30-30 at halftime but Minnesota West outscored Itasca 42-33 in the second half to come away with the win.

Jaimon Cheek scored 17 points to top Minnesota West in scoring. Christofer Morales scored 12 while Traelius Robinson and Emmanuel Akot both scored 10.

Ziggy Shider and A.J. Pinkney both scored 12 points to lead the Vikings. Tyreek Myles and Malik Edwards both scored 11, Rodney Soto, six, and Nick Grant added five.

Ridgewater downed Itasca 78-30 in play Friday.

Ridgewater led 31-7 after one quarter, 43-14 at the half and 62-19 after three quarters.

Sarah Ibarra scored 26 points to pace Ridgewater in scoring. Kendra Kuczek added 16 points.

Maddy Shepard connected on three 3-pointers and led Itasca with 11 points. Jordin McCartney and Caroline Cheney both scored six points.

On Saturday, Minnesota West ran past Itasca 112-51.

Minnesota West led 21-18 after one quarter, 41-31 at the half and 79-45 after three quarters.

With the loss, Itasca is now 1-4 for the season.

Lexie Ramsey scored 20 points to lead Minnesota West. Natasha Feliciano-Diaz scored 17, Emily Shaffer, 13, and Alanna Goetzinger added 10.

Maddy Shepard nailed six 3-pointers and led the Vikings with 20 points. Haley Murray scored 14, Tayleona Frazier, eight, and Caroline Cheney added six.
