GRAND RAPIDS — The Itasca Community College volleyball team lost a Northern Division contest against Central Lakes last week.

Central Lakes 3
Central Lakes defeated Itasca in three games on Oct. 2, in Grand Rapids.
The Raiders won the games by the scores of 25-23, 25-18, and 25-19.
Maggi Fellerman had 12 kills for Central Lakes and Nicole Kortan recorded 10 kills and digs. Sydney Berg recorded 10 kills while Haley Schliper had nine kills and seven digs. Kylie Porter finished with 44 set assists and eight digs and Hailey Tihlarik had 17 digs.
Brianna Sutherland had 3 kills and digs for Itasca while Karley Hansen recorded six kills and five digs. Allison Rasley finished with five kills and 14 digs and Natalie Bakkedahl had four kills. Libby Korpi finished with 27 set assists and 10 digs while Alyssa McDermott had 4 digs.
With the loss, Itasca is now 5-3 in Northern Division play, tied for third with Northland. Mesabi Range is 7-1 while Central Lakes is second at 6-2. Following Itasca and Northland are Vermilion, 3-5, Rainy River, 1-7, and Fond du Lac, 0-8.
Itasca will face Rainy River on Wednesday in its next match.
