Terence “Terry” Lee Hanson, a proud husband, father, and grandfather, age 80, of Bemidji, MN died Monday, November 25, 2019 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.
Terry was born January 11, 1939 in Trout Lake Township, Itasca County, MN the son of Carroll and Helen (Rafinski) Hanson. He loved his childhood on the Iron Range. He served his country in the US Navy for 9 and a half years, in Vietnam, and other areas receiving medals and awards. He was proud to have served his country. After his service, he worked as a Nuclear and Conventional Power Plant Inspector for 31 and a half years. He loved cars and had good memories of driving his 1931 Model A Ford with his fellow Model A Club Members of the Meadowlark Model A Club of Omaha, Nebraska. He touched numerous lives with his wit and humor. Terry did not know a stranger. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Maryann, sons Rudi (Margarita), Patrick (Christina), John (Lynae), grandchildren; Chris, Seth, Heidie, Jacob, Austin, Raelynn, Shayla, and Hailie, five great-grandchildren, sister, Barbara (Lynn) Brinkley, nieces, and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, sister Nancy Trembley, and her husband Alexander.
No services will be held according to his wishes. Inurnment will be at the Lakeview Cemetery in Coleraine, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji.
