Clarence L. Stockwell, age 65, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at his home.
Clarence was born in 1954 to Alden and Zelma Stockwell in Grand Rapids, MN. Clarence worked as a laborer for Timberline Furniture. Clarence loved camping and fishing in his younger years. He could watch wrestling 24/7 and made sure never to miss a Monday Night RAW. Clarence was a man with the biggest heart. He gave everything he could and never took anything in return. Whether you were coming or going, he always made sure to say, “I Love You”. He was always joyful and was there for his family and friends. He was a great person if anyone needed help, he seemed be there. With all the help and understanding he could give. His family couldn’t understand how he could sit home every day and find out things about his family before they told him. As his kids and grand kids would find out. He would always say I have my ways. He would never tell them how he found out. I guess he thought if he told them he wouldn’t have the upper hand on them. He always said you can’t hide anything from this old boy. He proudly taught his children all his values and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Rhylea Stockwell. Clarence is survived by his better half, Delores Key; children, Melody Winger Cochran, Tyson Stockwell, Nathan (Malinda) Stockwell, Jesse (Janet) Key, Mary (Jake) Hibbert; sisters, Kathy (Alan) Mainville, Brenda Stockwell; brother, Gerald “Uncle Joe” Stockwell; 13 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be at a late date.
