“Chuckie” Charlene Dee Allison, age 60, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019 at her home in Cohasset surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 19, 1958 in Grand Rapids, MN to Neil “Whitey” and Doris “Frog” (Riendeau) Allison. She attended Grand Rapids High School and graduated in 1977.
Chuckie spent her working years as a bartender in various local establishments. She spent her free time hunting, fishing, and tending her flowers. She looked forward each year to her trips to camp in Middle River, MN, where she wanted to shoot the monster buck or “whack a few”. Chuckie had a spunky personality that will not be easily forgotten. She was not afraid to tell it how it was, and she held nothing back. Chuckie had a huge heart where she was a friend or sister to all.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Chuckie is survived by her fiancé, John Chatley; daughters, Mandy (Leonard Oberg) Petz and Shannon (James) Koski; six grandchildren, Kayla (David) Pashina of Minnetonka, Kyle Stram of Brooklyn Park, Gage Breeden of Chisholm, Luken Neumann of Nashwauk, Lennie Oberg Jr of Grand Rapids, and TeeJae Reed of Bovey; sister, Sonya Allison-Brink; brothers, Steven, David, and Darrell Allison; as well as many more family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
