Chase Lewis Hron, of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the age of 19.
Chase Lewis Hron was born on September 27, 1999 in Thief River Falls, MN, the son of Michael and Stacey (Doyea) Hron. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. Chase attended school in Thief River Falls, graduating from Lincoln High School in 2018. Playing football was Chase’s passion throughout school. He had many teammates, classmates, and friends who loved to be around him.
Chase had a special bond with his brothers, Spencer and Cody. Together they spent many hours playing sports, wrestling, playing video games, and hanging out. Chase enjoyed spending summers at the lake with his family and close family friends.
Chase was an active outdoor enthusiast. He spent a lot of time with his uncle Ryan, hunting, fishing, and shooting. Chase also enjoyed watching sports with his Dad. He was a champion at fantasy sports, often beating everyone.
After graduation Chase worked with his uncle Ryan, doing construction and later attended Northland Community and Technical College in East Grand Forks, MN.
Chase will be remembered as being kind, quiet, funny, competitive, and hard-working, with an unforgettable smile and those big baby blue eyes.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Chase is survived by his parents, Mike and Stacey (Doyea) Hron of Thief River Falls, MN; brothers, Spencer (Mackenzie Kruta) Hron of Fargo, ND, and Cody Hron of Thief River Falls, MN; grandparents, Lewis and Marilyn (Glass) Doyea of Bagley, MN, William Hron of Cohasset, MN, Patricia Aldrich of Grand Rapids, MN, and Roy (Sally) LaDoux of Grand Rapids, MN; great-grandmother, Doris Glass of Erskine, MN; uncles and aunts, Nathan and Denise LaFriniere of Bagley, MN, Kristi Doyea of Solway, MN, Ryan and Ashley Doyea of Solway, MN, Robyn Casper of Grand Rapids, MN and Mark and Sarah Hron of Mora, MN; cousins and their families, Brandi, Austin, Kyle, Jaylee, Kinzie, Olivia, Zach, Jesse, Brandi, Jordan, Megan, and Haley; numerous friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Ray and Lorraine Doyea, Virgil Glass, William and Mildred Aldrich, and Thomas and Doris Hron; great-uncle, Randy Glass; uncle, Jason Johnson.

The funeral service in memory of Chase will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 14, 2019 at St. John Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN, with Rev. Thomas Puffe officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will take place from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at St. John Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also take place one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday at the church.
