Barbara Noelle Stangler

Barbara Noelle Stangler earned her angel wings and claimed her place in Heaven on September 9, 2019.

Barb graduated from Deer River High School in 1992 and then attended the Courage Center where she learned to live independently. Despite her physical limitations, she spent 46 years blessing people with her happiness, sense of humor, and an uncanny capacity to love and care for others. She was always joyful and rarely complained, even though everyday life was a challenge. Barb’s personality came alive through Facebook and she demonstrated her heart with thoughtful messages and cards. Barb was an avid sports fan, favorites being the Vikings and the Twins.

She is preceded in death by her infant brother David Stangler and her grandparents.

Barb is survived by parents, Bill and Sue Stangler, and siblings Jeff (Kathy) King, Joe Stangler, Tess (Mark) Drotts, Pam (Ray) Zaffke, Susan (Boyd) Gerber-Roggenbuck, Mary (Heath) Hernandez, Nick (Lisa) Stangler, Lisa (Phil) Swan, and Katie (Tim) Frits, and special friend Troy Lien.

Barb is the proud auntie to 32 nieces and nephews: Mitch, Mindy, Zac, Bekah, Tim, Kevin, Alyssa, Jacob, Justin, Haley, Isaac, Caitlin, Olivia, Nathan, Liz, Tally, Gwendolyn, Sarah, Rachel, Bella, David, Evan, Landon, Marshall, Laura, Brady, Tucker, Dawson, McKinley, Reagan, Julian, and Baby Swan due in October.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 12, 2019 from 5:30-7:30 PM at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, Cohasset, MN and at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 13, 2019 at the church. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM. Fr. Seth Gogolin and Fr. Anthony Craig will be concelebrating. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Ball Club, MN.
