Are you caring for someone you love or know? Perhaps you are caring for your loved one from a distance? Are you finding that you may be stretching yourself too thin, and reaching overwhelm, burnout, or resentment? ElderCircle is hosting an ongoing monthly support group just for you—people who are caregiving for a loved one of any age, for any condition, and to any extent. This group assists caregivers of all ages learn ways of caring for yourself so that you can in return provide better care to your loved one.
Facilitated by ElderCircle’s Caregiver Consultant Robyn Gunnerson, this new Caregiver Support Group, meets on the first Tuesday of the month on Feb. 7, from 1 - 2 p.m. at the YMCA Active Living Center Meeting Room. Anyone who is caring for someone else who has one of a variety of conditions and ages is welcome to attend the free support group.
In addition, ElderCircle also hosts two other support groups each month. For those with a loved one experiencing memory loss, the Memory Loss Support Group meets the second Tuesday of the month, Feb. 14, and individuals with Parkinson’s and their caregivers meet the second Wednesday of each month, Feb. 8. All support groups meet from 1 - 2 p.m. at the YMCA Active Living Center classrooms, are free and open to the public.
