At approximately 6:17 p.m., Itasca County Communications received a report that a person had been jumped at the Sports Complex at NE 11th Avenue in Grand Rapids.

Accident:

At 10:58 a.m., deputies responded to an accident on State Highway 6 and County Road 452 in Deer River. No injuries were reported.

Theft:

At 10:19 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a stolen off-road motorcycle on Josephine Avenue in Pengilly.

Tuesday, Sept. 10

Gas drive-off:

At 8 a.m., deputies responded to a gas drive-off on County Road 233 in Grand Rapids.

Property damage:

At 9:53 a.m., officers responded to a report of slashed tires and a smashed windshield on a vehicle on 11th Avenue NE in Grand Rapids.

Accident:

At 12:22 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle accident at a business on 29th Street in Grand Rapids. No injuries were reported.

Gas drive-off:

At 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a gas drive-off on SE Seventh Avenue in Grand Rapids. Total value of gas was $16.36.

School bus stop arm violation:

At 3:54 p.m., officers responded to a school bus stop arm violation on SE Seventh Avenue in Grand Rapids.

Thursday, Sept. 12

Theft:

At 9:58 a.m., officers responded to a store on 29th Street SE in Grand Rapids for two female suspects found to be price switching.

Theft:

At 1:26 p.m., officers responded to a report of theft at a grocery store on Pokegama Avenue South in Grand Rapids. Suspect had attempted to take a total of $73.60 in merchandise.

School bus stop arm violation:

At 3:59 p.m., officers responded to a school bus stop arm violation on NW 14th Street in Grand Rapids. Children were on the ground at the time.

Friday, Sept. 13

Accident:

At 11:55 a.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle accident on NE Fifth Street in Grand Rapids. No injuries were reported. Damage to both vehicles was moderate.

At 2:29 p.m., officers responded to a report of sign in the curbed median was hit and broken on NE Third Street in Grand Rapids.

Accident:

At 2:56 p.m., officers were dispatched to an accident on NW Fourth Street in Grand Rapids. No injuries were reported.

Scam:

At 4:51 p.m., officers received a report of a scam involving a resident who received a call that his son-in-law was in jail and needed bail money. The scammers asked the resident to acquire six Home Depot gift cards worth $500 a piece and then called to request more money. Before the resident sent more money he called to find his son-in-law was not in jail.

Controlled burn:

At 6:42 p.m., officers responded to a controlled burn on SE Eighth Street in Grand Rapids.

Accident:

At 6:51 p.m., officers responded to an accident on NW Fifth Street and NW Third Avenue in Grand Rapids. No injuries were reported. On vehicle sustained severe damage.

Domestic:

At 11:19 p.m., officers responded to a domestic argument on SE 21st Street in Grand Rapids.

Assist other agency:

At 11:20 p.m., deputies assisted the Minnesota State Patrol in a search on County Road 590/Snowball Road in Pengilly which led to a warrant arrest of an adult female.

Saturday, Sept. 14

Accident:

At 7:24 p.m., deputies responded to an accident with injuries involving a car and deer on River Road in Grand Rapids.

Fight:

At 8:13 p.m., deputies investigated a bar fight on Half Circle Drive in Pengilly which resulted in a probation violation arrest.

Fire:

At 8:43 p.m., deputies responded to a structure fire on County Road 9 in Deer River.

Vehicle pursuit:

At 9:34 p.m., deputies assisted other agencies in a vehicle pursuit on Highway 2 in Deer River.

Sunday, Sept. 15

Accident:

At 3:52 p.m., deputies responded to an ATV accident with injuries on Chokecherry Lane in Marcell.

Hit and run:

At 12:26 p.m. officers received a report of a hit and run that occurred at a store on 29th Street in Grand Rapids. A vehicle sustained multiple scratches on the driver’s side rear corner.

Vehicle Theft:

At 3:24 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from an apartment building on River Road in Grand Rapids.

Animal complaint:

At 3:55 p.m., officers responded to a call of a bear attempting to attack a small dog on NE Ninth Street in Grand Rapids. Reporting party said the bear swatted at the small dog sending it flying.
