Grand Rapids Realty announced the addition of Malcolm Wallaker to its staff of realtors. Wallaker officially became an agent this July.
Before joining Grand Rapids Realty, Wallaker worked in copier sales in Hibbing. A native of Rochester, Wallaker says he developed his competitive edge playing varsity football and throwing shot put and discus for the track team. Wallaker graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Relational Communication from Bethel University in 2016, where he met his wife, Brea, of three years.
“We moved to Grand Rapids after Brea started her job at Northland Counseling as a Clinical Therapist. It did not take long for us to fall in love with the Grand Rapids community. Brea grew up in a town of 500 in Floodwood, and I grew up in a town of over 100,000 in Rochester. Grand Rapids has had the best of both worlds for us,” says Wallaker.
Wallaker and his wife are avid sports fans, especially the Twins and Vikings. They are members of New Song Alliance Church.
“Moving forward as a Real Estate agent, I hope to be a light in people’s lives as they go through one of the more exciting and stressful times of their lives,” says Wallaker. “In doing so I will use integrity, a serving heart, and be led by my faith when working with community. This community has been so welcoming to me and my family, I hope that I can repay it by serving them in any way.”
