'The Wizard of Oz On Ice'

Star of the North skating club will present “The Wizard of Oz On Ice” in two performances Friday, March 23 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 24 at 11 a.m., at the IRA Civic Center. Other skaters are performing acts of Somewhere over of Rainbow, Tornado Scene, Munchkinland, Ding Dong Parade, Lullaby League, Lollipop Guild, Talking Trees, Forest, People of Oz, Flying Monkeys, Witches Forest, Guards. Club skaters range in age from 3 to 17; the performance is the club’s annual Spring Show and is performed as a play on ice. All skaters are part of the USFSA (United States Figure Skating Association). The club says the performance is the ‘coop de graw’ for the end of their regular skating season. All Star of the North skaters have worked hard and are anxious to show off the many skills they have learned throughout the season. Admission to “The Wizard of Oz On Ice,” is $7 per adult; $5 for students; children 5 and under are free.
