Queen Machine, one of Europe’s most popular bands, brings their Queen tribute show to the Wilcox Theater at the Myles Reif Performing Arts Center in Grand Rapids on Friday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m..
The band is world-class when it comes to presenting Queen’s universe in a tribute show that is both highly entertaining and authentic.
Ever since their inception in 2008, Queen Machine has been playing for an ever-increasing amount of people at festivals across Europe as well as on a string of sold-out concerts on tours both at home and abroad including a series of concerts with The National Symphony Orchestra of London along with opera singer Louise Fribo, and concerts in their home country of Denmark.
“With a resurgence in popularity for the music of Queen due to the recent film Bohemian Rhapsody, we knew this show would be a hit for guests of all ages,” said Paul M. Gregersen, Reif Arts Council Marketing Director. “These guys are as close to the real deal you can get. All the way down to Freddy Mercury’s mustache.”
The band has played concerts in the USA, Sweden, Norway and Germany, as well as performed on national TV on several occasions.
“From “We Will Rock You” and “We are the Champions” to “Bicycle Ride” and “Another One Bites the Dust”, Queen Machine certainly know how to Rock,” Gregersen said. “We are very excited for northern Minnesota to do so along with them.”
All the show’s songs are presented with respect, attention to detail and with a focus on Queen’s magnificent showmanship.
With over 380,000 views on YouTube and festival performances at events like Smukfest; Jelling Musik Festival; Kulturisyd; and Open Air Denmark. Queen Machine remains one of the most authentic Queen tribute acts.
All the music is presented as if you were standing at Wembley Stadium in 1986. Featuring the charismatic and extremely talented front-man Bjarke Baisner, Queen Machine is a spectacular live-performance that will deliver a magical experience for all Queen fans.
The greatness of Freddie Mercury and Queen is nearly impossible to replicate. Whether through electrifying guitar solos, addictive riffs, or legendary lyrics, the music of Queen has mesmerized audiences for decades. However, Queen fans have waited too long for a band able to match the talent and entertainment of a live Queen show.
Baisner embodies Mercury with every note and the rest of Queen Machine brings the music to life.
When Queen Machine steps onto the stage, the audience is guaranteed to get the show of their lives.
The Reif is also offering VIP pre-show dinner, beer and wine tickets at a gathering at the IRA Civic Center at 5 p.m. the night of the performance.
All tickets for Queen Machine are available for purchase at reifcenter.org, by phone (218) 327-5574 and at the Reif Box Office. The show is sponsored by Arrow Embroidery in Grand Rapids and SuperOne Foods.
