There will not be a refresher/beginning quilting class this month.

Our annual summer gathering/pot luck picnic will be held on Tuesday, July 16th, at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. It will start at 6:00 p.m. and you are asked to bring a dish to share. Plates, utensils, cups and beverage will be provided.

Our program for July will be “Yoga in Your Quilting Studio”. Don’t let the word Yoga scare you! Yoga for the quilting studio will be the hands on topic for our July meeting. Let Jenna Hass, Registered Yoga instructor, walk you through some basic yoga moves to keep you limbered up at your sewing machine. Not only is Jenna a Registered Yoga Instructor, she is also a Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master, Karuna Reiki Master, Certified Thai Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer Jenna embarked on her own yoga and personal health and fitness journey over 20 years ago when she started doing yoga to calm her mind. She has attended many classes and is certified in many areas of yoga and fitness. BUT, she is also a quilter and very familiar with the quilting process. She runs her own studio downtown, “Breath, Relax and Renew”. You do not need any special equipment. Most of the yoga will be done from a chair. Come meet Jenna! You will be impressed with her skills and bubbly personality. For more information visit her web site

There will be Show & Tell during the gathering. We welcome all guests. You can find Loon Country Quilters on facebook at

Loon Country Embroidery Group will not meet in July. Continue working on your embroidery projects. Happy Embroidering!
