Let’s Go Fishing Itasca will hold a Fish Fry from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 at the Grand Rapids Eagles Club.

Adults are $8 and children $5. Take out is available at 218-256-7958 or order at the door.

Let's Go Fishing Itasca is a nonprofit run 100 percent by volunteers. All monies raised go directly to the program which provides a specially equipped handicapped accessible pontoon and for expenses to keep the program going on area lakes.

In 2018, Let's Go Fishing Itasca reached a milestone by taking out the 10,000th person since beginning in 2007. In 2018, Let’s Go Fishing took 1,018 people, most of whom would not be able to get out on the water without the handicapped accessible pontoon.

All proceeds raised at the fish fry go to Let's Go Fishing Itasca so that the organization may be able to continue to provide cruises and fishing trips at no cost to seniors, handicapped, veterans, and continue the youth program. These people come from nursing homes, assisted living facilities, adult day cares, adult foster homes, church groups, organizations, senior centers, and their own homes.
