Henry “Hank” Foix, 85 of Hill City, Minn. died Wednesday May 9, 2012 at Chappy’s in Hill City.
Henry was born in Grand Rapids, Minn. on July 18, 1926 to Arthur and Mabel Foix. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and served in the Asian Pacific Theater. Henry farmed and worked in the mines until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his wife Adeline; parents; and two grandchildren.
Surviving family includes seven children, Charles (Sue) of Cherry Minn., Robert of Montgomery, Minn., Larry of Hill City, Jim (Nancy) of Hill City, Pam (Gene) Mejdrich of Aitkin, Minn., Gary (Donna) of Hill City, and Sherri (Dan) Lindholm of Cohasset, Minn.; four stepchildren, Laura Hill, James Hill, Timmy Hill, and Scott Hill, all of Grand Rapids, Minn.; 24 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Winonah Bauer of Faribault, Minn. and Julene Landey of Hill City; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday May 14, 2012 in the Libbey Funeral Home in Grand Rapids, Minn. Service: 1:30 p.m. Monday May 14 in the Libbey Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors: Hill Lake Cemetery in Hill City.
