Carmen Carolyn Lindman Loberg Jensen, age 68 of East Chain, Minn., and formerly of Jacobson, Minn., died Monday, Aug.15, 2011 in Grand Rapids, Minn.

Carmen was born in 1943 in Grand Rapids, Minn., the daughter of Leonard and Crystal Lindman. She attended schools in Jacobson, McGregor and graduated from Hill City High School in 1961. Carmen married Ronald Loberg Sr. on June 24, 1961 and they made their home in Jacobson, Minn. She graduated from Itasca Community College in 1996 with an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting degree.

Carmen married Russell Jensen on Sept. 16, 2000 and they made their home in East Chain, Minn. She was a very active member of Carmel Lutheran Church in Jacobson, Minn., and Evangelical Free Church in East Chain, Minn.

Carmen was an avid reader, who especially loved to read with her grandchildren. She loved antiquing and enjoyed the farm country lifestyle (cooking, flower gardening, canning and animals). She also enjoyed swimming and traveling.

She was preceded in death by a husband, Ronald Loberg Sr.; her parents, Leonard and Crystal; four sisters, Betty Lindman, Virginia Lindman, Lynn Marlene Schumacker and Joanne Ostenson; one brother, Richard Lindman and one grandson, Kolton Hanna.

Carmen is survived by her husband, Russell Jensen, of East Chain, Minn.; two sons, Ronald Jr. of Blackberry and Russell "Rusty" (Kellie) Loberg of Jacobson; two daughters, Sheryl (Patrick) Siikanen of Jacobson and Amy (Kevin) Sandstrom of Floodwood; two stepsons, Dale (Cyndi) Jensen and Troy (Desiree) Jensen both of East Chain, Minn.; one stepdaughter, Lori (Damon) Hanna of Fairmont, Minn.; six sisters, Karen (Ray) Klennert of Swatara, Minn., Linda Bosteder of Rogers, Ark., Diane (Chuck) Higgins of Rosemount, Minn., Carol (Steven) Dordal of Grasston, Minn., Norma (Dave) Brehm of North Branch, Minn. and Cindy (Pete) Larson of Grand Forks, N.D.; four brothers, Leonard (Julie) Lindman Jr. and Roger (Sue) Lindman both of Rush City, Minn., Gene Lindman of Rogers, Ark., and Darold (Stacy) Lindman of Grantsburg, Wis.; 16 grandchildren, Kimberly, Nicole, Andrew, Becky, Bobbi Jean, Alex, Butch, Abigail, Brandon, Brian, Brady, Eli, Tristan, Mariah, Kalie and Kyson; two great-grandchildren, Emilie and Cassie;  numerous close nieces and nephews and honorary children.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 19 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids, Minn., and will continue on Saturday, August 20 at Carmel Lutheran Church in Jacobson, Minn. from 1 until the 2 p.m. Funeral Service. Vicar Mark Wagner will officiate. Burial will be in Ball Bluff Cemetery in Jacobson, Minn.
