A Lawrence Lake woman died Saturday evening from burns she suffered after she fell into a fire.

The woman was identified as 60-year-old Charlene Bluntach.

According to Dean Scherf, Itasca County Sheriff’s Office investigator, a 911 call was received from County Road 336 around 7:30 p.m. Bluntach had fallen into a bonfire at her residence and was dead at the scene.

Scherf said there were two other people at the residence when the accident occurred, but they were in a garage and did not witness Bluntach fall into the fire.

An autopsy revealed that Bluntach died from fatal burn injuries.

No foul play is suspected and Scherf said the investigation is ongoing.
