Arrowhead Transit, the primary provider of scheduled and demand-response public transportation in Itasca County, is unveiling a new logo and tagline to increase awareness of its service in Northeastern Minnesota.
The marketing efforts come in response to the United Way of 1000 Lakes’ 2008 report that identified transportation as a key barrier to Itasca County residents accessing health and human services. Arrowhead Transit is unveiling the rebrand as part of the Itasca Transportation Initiative, a community-led project established to address the area’s transportation issues.
The organization’s new tagline, “Your Ride,” reflects its belief that transportation should not prevent people from living and thriving in the Arrowhead Region.
“Awareness of reliable transportation in this area is vital for residents to find employment, get to work and attend school activities. We hope our rebranding efforts will help enhance independent living and increase the quality of life for people in Itasca County,” said Jack Larson, director of Arrowhead Transit. “You shouldn’t hear the phrase, ‘I can’t get a ride,’ around here; people always have a ride with us, and we want everyone to know that.”
