Get Woodsy and Boil Up Some Sap
Updated: February 01, 2016 - 2:15 pm

There's nothing better is spring than maple syrup that comes from Minnesota's sugar bush (sugar maple groves). Okay, this assertion may be a bit biased, but there is more than a thread of truth in it. A few years ago, TimberSweet in Cohasset won top international awards for their syrup. Ralph & Amy Fideldy own and operate TimberSweet, a commercial operation with about 3,000 taps. Their operation is modest in the commercial arena. But, oh my, every year they put out some stupendously tasty maple products: light & amber syrups, candies, pure maple cream, maple almonds & pecans, and maple sugar.

Lakewood Surgey Center alternative
Updated: February 01, 2016 - 2:15 pm

Several weeks ago I was in need of outpatient surgery. It was rather urgent and appointments with the local hospitals were to far out. I called Lakewood Surgery Center and their staff was very helpful and  I had a consultation in two days. Doctor D. Margo is  very honest and straight forward, he spoke to me and not over me. During my consultation he did something that may seem trivial to some, he took some paper and drew a picture of where and what they needed to do and what they didn't want to happen. It may seem small but it took me from twenty questions to Ok lets do this. I was scheduled for surgery in two days. The surgical teams was great. A casual but confident atmosphere that was very relaxing. The procedure went perfect and Dr. Margo and his staff's follow up was great. I hope I never need their services again, but if I do I won't hesitate to use them.
